How to Care for a Lemon Lime Philodendron

True to their name these Philodendrons are yellow and green, being more green toward the roots. They are beautiful and interesting.
Where its from
The Lemon Lime is native to Central South America. Its a rain forest plant that vines up trees and other rain forest floor objects. Its use to growing on the rain forest floor with limited light.
Light
This is a very versatile plant and will adjust to many different lighting situations. The Lemon Lime can take low light situations and thrive, but to reach its full potential give it bright indirect sunlight. I Keep mind in low and its growing just fine (see photos).
Water
This is the most challenging part of this plant, since it is already yellow there are not clear yellowing when over watered. Its best to side on the side of under water verses over water.Wait until the first two inches of soil are dry before you water. As always I recommend using distilled water and a hydrometer when watering plants to ensure that its ready for water and free from chlorine.
Repotting
These plants don’t mind to be a bit root bound, take your time when replanting. look for obvious signs of of replanting such as breaching the nursery pot or slower than expected growth. When it time to repot make sure you have a pot that has good drainage holes and is no more than two inches larger than its current pot.
Don’t Over Love
Lemon Limes are vines,it will have long hanging vines that will just grow and grow! Trim them as needed to fit the shape you want. The trimmings can can easily be propagated and you can have new beauties!
